The department of Information Technology [IT] is established during the year 1999 - 2000 with the intake of 60 students. Day by day the information technology is proving its importance in industry as well as in various fields. With its growing demand the intake of the students is increased to 120 with all required facilities in the year 2007.
This IT course will give a broad understanding of computer and communication applications together with significant technical knowledge. There is a clear and increasing employment market for successful graduates of this course.
The department is headed by Prof. J.RAJESHWAR B.Tech (CSE), M.Tech(CSE) and carrying his research work (PhD from JNTU College of Engineering , Hyderabad) in the area of Computer Networks. He has more than 10 years of teaching experience .
The department is having well qualified, senior and experienced faculties.
Apart from regular academic work, the department is actively involved in industrial training, research and other professional activities. The department has close interaction with software development companies.
The Department is having good class rooms and a seminar hall with LCD projector for carrying seminars and workshops. It is also equipped with computer centers with ultra modern facilities. It is also having dedicated broadband internet connection with speed of 2 Mbps. It is having the Departmental library for faculties as well as for students.

Prof. J RAJESHWAR is the Head of the department of Information Technology [IT].
He obtained his B.Tech (CSE) from JNTU College of Engineering, JNTU Hyderabad. M.Tech (CSE) from Osmania University College of Engineering, OU Hyderabad and Presently carrying his research work (PhD from JNTU College of Engineering , Hyderabad) in the area of Computer Networks .He has more than 10 years of teaching experience.
He conducted a couple of short term courses, seminars, workshops and delivered few expert lectures. He is expert at guiding projects for under graduate students, guiding students for paper presentation, project exhibition and poster presentation. He is very active at conducting Career counseling to the students. He was instrumental in establishing computer laboratories in the college.
Additional responsible duties of the college carried out efficiently by him include Training and Placement Officer (TPO), JKC-Coordinator (IEG-JKC), SPOC- for Infosys Campus Connect Program/Soft Skills, SPOC- for IEG-JKC Soft skills and AICTE / Affiliation work.
